Essential session cookie

The alphasclaim_session cookie is HTTP-only, secure, and unavailable to page scripts. It expires after 30 days or when you sign out. It is required for member and administrator access.

Analytics preference

We use a first-party browser preference, ac_analytics_consent_v1, to remember whether analytics is enabled or disabled. Remembering that choice is necessary to respect it. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Analytics preferences. If a withdrawal cannot reach our server, its random session identifier is kept temporarily in the browser solely to retry that revocation.

First-party usage analytics

Unless you disable analytics, we create a random ac_anonymous_session_id in sessionStorage. It lasts for the current browser tab session and supports privacy-minimised first-party analytics. We record funnel event names and time, a safe page type or redacted path, reading type, product slug, guest or account category, device class, UTM source/medium/campaign, referrer domain, page views, and approximate time spent. We do not store a full referrer URL, query string, private report token, or browser User-Agent text.

Our server also records the request IP address and Cloudflare-provided approximate country, region, and city so the protected operator dashboard can count the same IP only once per Beijing calendar day and show broad visitor origin. IP addresses and page-visit details are deleted when older than 30 days. Pseudonymous funnel events and temporary reading and checkout attribution contexts are deleted when older than 90 days. Aggregated statistics without an IP address or session identifier may be retained longer.

Disabling or enabling analytics

The site does not interrupt first-time visitors with an analytics pop-up. You can useAnalytics preferences at any time to disable future collection; disabling removes the current browser session identifier and stops new funnel and visit events. You may enable it again later. This choice does not affect readings, checkout, payment, reports, downloads, or Account access.

Referral cookie

If you arrive through a promoter link such as /r/CODE, we set a first-party ac_ref cookie. It is HTTP-only, secure, SameSite=Lax, path /, and expires after 30 days. It stores an unguessable referral identifier so we can attribute a later purchase of an eligible product to that promoter and calculate commission. It is not an advertising cookie and does not depend on analytics consent. Checkout, payment, reports, and Account still work if the cookie is blocked or expires.

Payment services

PayPal may set its own cookies when you open its checkout. Those cookies are governed by PayPal's notice. ALPHASCLAIM does not use its first-party funnel data for advertising or cross-site profiling.
